It is an enigma growing amidst the
humble patch.

An enigma that will be seized, studied
by those seeking an answer to its
difference.

A pumpkin that is purple.
Will be feasted upon by astonished
eyes.

It will only be deemed special because
of an accident of nature.

In a world where people strive to be
stamped of the same mold.

In a world where conformity is held as
an award of lifelong endeavors.

A pumpkin that is purple.
Will be labeled abnormal only because of
its color.

What is abnormal for a pumpkin?
A purple pumpkin still tastes the same
inside as other pumpkins.

There are people who have skewed slightly
from the “normal”
These people may look and act different
from others.

Should these “different” people be
considered abnormal?

The entire world has a variety of individuals.
If some people fear this variety.
They should never step outside their home
and meet others.

Welcome to PiP's.

"Should these “different” people be
considered abnormal?"

I don't know, but I am considered a walking anomaly.

And I said to the devil, "You better leave my spleen alone."
