The days turn into months and likewise turn to years,
And the ticking of the clock... echoes loudly in my ears,
Those years I longed for you to love... me at any cost,
But the years too soon had passed and at love alas, I lost.

For there were moments in my life when I thought that we would be,
When I looked into your eyes and saw you looking back at me,
When I'd touch your slender hand which you never did withdraw,
When a tender, gentle kiss would leave me wanting so much more.

For your voice to me was Mozart... a jewel of flowing grace,
Your beauty to all was Renoir...  on show your stunning face,
For you took my very breath away when you walked into my heart,
And though we never were together... I never felt apart.

Now the years no longer count... just the memories remained,
Of the beauty you brought my life... of the love I ne'er attained,
And I oft recall the days when upon my door you'd knock,
But now your face to me is lost... with that ticking of the clock.

Poetry is just the evidence of life.
If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "

But still, to live in memory,
finds love, indeed.

to hold onto memories such as these, well, all I can say is, food for the soul...
excellent look back, with passion and great awareness
