Dark side of the Moon.

            "My Soul Hath Flown"

My soul hath flown among the clouds
        and rode the winds above.
My spirit rend its earthly shroud,
        freed by warmth of love.

O'er the tops of forest green
        and mountain peaks I flew.
Up to view the sights unseen
        through the sky so blue.

Climbing high and filled with myrth,
        steady I did plod.
Until I broke the bonds of Earth
and touched the hand of God.

I have taken this flight...
The most remarkable journey.
Lovely write.

Left off the r in her...second verse...
I knew who's blue skies though.

Other than the spelling, I had trouble with the transition from flying to plodding.
Apart from that it was an inspirational write

Poet, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

TDiamond..Thank you for the read and letting me know of the typo... could be misleading. Nice to know you have been there too.

Interloper... sorry for the need to clarify... sometimes it is a struggle to break free from the chains that bind us to Mundania (Earth).. but if we make the extra effort (though slow and plodding) we can hopefully gain that uplifting breeze (hopefully with the help of a loved one) to carry us aloft to realize a dream or two. Thank you again, so much, for reading my humble renderings.

I too have been there...
and High Flight is one of most favourite poems.
You see, my son is a pilot.
Thank you for this keeper Ken.

Sing in me muse...
and through me tell the story~
