I felt those remarkable good memories
well up as thoughts go envisioning
refreshed by early cock-crow breeze
suspending high atop mid-morning’s
timeless miasma

it was an infusive azure sky
eagerly alluring my mind’s eye
to pull this mouthwatering river
in towards the fragrance of soul
like wild horses of blandish cajole

in the shadows of this small valley,
the wee canoe of my being,
live the offspring of morning’s
full of life yawns

I realize
great heart of garden entrance
still pounding slow-moving currents
of startling blue eyes…where over
hanging chestnut trees dance with
children long side

defining chorale of some launched
tenderness in my mere life

…then….

To my surprise

a great white owl skims low
or’ this river & soared up into
the arms of some husky voiced air….

watching, I pressed great joy, hard
to my breast, holding onto this
greenhouse, trembling with desire
and fear…yet, knowing somehow
a far more decent reward, opened
the door for me to undress
into this time, this space….

defining the tongue of love
deep in my mouth,
breathtaking the calm
afterglow, radiating from a effortless
smile of my disciplined lover
moving closer, yet closer still
his hair sleeked back, face glistening
with an easy smile of melody

warmth and coziness humming
“silent night”  where
darkness slips through fingers
like grains of sand on an endless beach
white birds back swooping like
solitary sentinels, kissing me softly
behind the ear
whispering gently, come with us dear…

watching from the verandah
of decision & dreams,
streaming out before me
a riverbed of forever…
jingling of buckles on khaki pockets
slowing pulsing a
knowing without knowing
silver tinsel trailing over a million fold

flutes, & a grand piano began their
interpretation of
the greatness in the spirit of Christmas
to the tune of white excited snow flakes
soothingly knocking on the stained glass door
of some joyously pitched voice,
dripping pallid
carpets of cotton notes, tickling the flesh
of my fingertips while skating
across earth’s floor

widening every imaginable reaction
like a whirlwind visit of primary colors
with great sound, ornate multitudes of
golden good natured paths
splattering
across my mind, like a warm pullover
sweater, worn with significance for the
very first time….
Mini-molecules that wash the soul
Oh for the love of these Zen pirates
Heroic enough to travel through
over night philosophical mind speak

near by…in some cloud of smiles while
nodding…some great fantasy
I heard what I was capable of
the aftershock of a warrior’s heart
who believes each turn in the road
hids new adventure
leaving me gifted with little great things

amazing this nature’s smile of life
simply amazing
“does anything else really matter”? I ponder
while I nestle closer, yet closer still
to this
remarkable lover

I fell into your words like the balls of a play pen that the children play in and was covered up. Good morning sweety.

LeeJ.,

Ah, a breather, when I can relax for a few and enjoy!  A pleasure it in its entirity, but these verses blew me away when I read them twice aloud.  They have such a beautiful flow to them.
