                    Just in Jest?!
      (backstage...what happens next?)

The night always manages somehow
to slip upon the ‘stage of human misery’
in time, at least, to mask
the tattered ends of weary days
from burning eyes that seek....
only the feeble light of the death-moon!
Eyes that watch a crimson sunset with relief
and close the last act.....in agony!

The ‘Jester’ drops his laughter-stick
into the king’s puddin’
and flees into the darkness!

...........fading laughter...........

Good to read you again.
Many times people do mask their feelings with a smile...but then, those that really know them see through the jester.

In Tarot, the fool is the unbridled innocense and fearlessness of living in the moment.

I rather like that concept!
Well done.

typically, in the King's castle
they send in more clowns!
