The Neap

Quieter than sleep comes the neap
With silver threads weaving the seem
The weight of the moon moves the reap
It’s there I awake from the dream

In bed near a windows sill I
Stare at the leaves and background clouds
The clouds are dressing colors fill
Yet the message speaks clear and loud

My mind is waking to the day
And I prepare to meet its store
There are things to do, things to say
And I must do my daily chore

Each day the wonders pass me bye
But never stop to shake my hand
They only pull from me a sigh
The wonders of this Eden’s land

Some how I’ll join the leaves at play
For
I’ve a ticket on Santa’s sleigh

I also had to look up neap. This poem wonderfully written. Thank you for expanding my knowledge on the english language, and for sharing this poem to me and to the world.
