December first my mother died I still cannot believe it from nothing wrong to everything in periods of minutes She had been sick just a short time, I never thought this day would come And now she's gone and I'm alone Feelings in horrid shades of numb. For once and for her final days I want to write her goodness down She cared, she loved, and always tried And with her heart salvation found. Goodbye, for now, and see you soon I pray it be as I believe That you are happy, safe and warm where nothing bad can make you grieve. For Rita, 6/1930-12/2006 |

I was pleased to see a post from you! It's been quite awhile! However, I am saddened by your news. I understand what you are going through. I lost my Mom suddenly this summer and my Dad followed her to heaven 4 weeks later. I can sense the strength of your spirit through your moving words. All will be well ~ but it does take some time. My own Mother died in March 2006, and my life will never be the same. However 2006 could truly be the year my life has changed in ways it will find a new happiness, one I never knew I never knew. Thank you for sharing your poem Christopher a poet who cares |

Sandra, I am so sorry I missed you poem about your mom, and even more sorry for the grief you and the girls must be going through. I think we all know that quick descend from a great day to a tragic one, and each of us will have hurt as you must have.
