My Little Hears of Sorrow

Loneliness invades the conscience and defiles the heart,
turning its flesh to stone, and corrupting love.

However, it is not the measure or the depth of your pain
nor the staining memories to reconcile,
instead it is the passing of time, which can ruin
with unforgiving, or heal with forgetfulness…

I know the sorrow in your hearts.
And, I know too,
that love can mend it for you.

Let the past be broken off and gone forever.
And, let the pleading for integrity fade.
It isn’t you, or your precious hearts betrayed,
but the supplier of corruption whose debt
someday, in kind, will be repaid…

Even read as singular,
yes, I think you would know.

Well done, Poet.

I don't know about fish because this poem didn't stink at all.

Poetry is just the evidence of life.
If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash. "

Oh...the litany of an empathetic heart.
Such gentle kindness in the wisdom you impart.  The other side of sorrow is joy, JL.
It is Joy!

Loved this.

Thanks Sunshine.  This is about three little ones whose story breaks my heart.

Trutodaraiders….   OK???

Honeybunch thank you, and you are so correct.

Lee J.  Thank you sweetie.

TD – Kathy, your words are true, the other side of sorrow is joy.
But it’s climbing the heights to get to the other side which only time can predict the outcome.

EA… Hi girl!  I missed your “High-Spirits” too.
Thanks

Thanks Enchantress.

Paul, my friend, thank you for your warm encouragement.  I appreciate it.

blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
