raindrops
matching my tears
stream from panes of sad eyes
bathing the sweet soul of nature
streaking my hearts framed window with regret
while the earth drinks with disregard
of a love lost to time
and so I cry
raindrops

You better not cry or I'll have to do serious bodily damage to someone!

Paul - What a lovely thing to say - thankyou.
Everything is just fine. A mixture of a long dental appointment and heavy rains has put a damper on my day...only for today.

Margherita - always a pleasure to see a comment from you. Many thanks.

Nancy Lee - Yup, sure is. Love & Miss you too! Hugs!!

Lovely metaphorical phrases to create a moving analogy...

"Stream from panes of sad eyes"

"Streaking my heart's framed window with regret"

reminds me that I believe the eyes are windows to the soul...

I really enjoyed reading this.. touched my soul.. thank you, Nightshade.

Chris, I like this form very much, but know little of how it works or the pattern.  I love your play on words; I think it subtly emphasizes the sadness.  I hope all is well with you.  Wish I could spend more time, but am inundated with work.  Until next time, be well.

Oh Chris I would hate to see one single tear fall from your eyes but I know how cleansing tears can be.

This is a lovely rictameter sweetie and by the way? That new pic of you....absolutely beautiful dear lady.

Needless to say, I have missed you and your shine, immensely.

Hugs you.

Outstanding write, Chris, and this ...

"while the earth drinks with disregard
of a love lost to time"

seems to just be the way of things, doesn't it?
