Listening to every heart

Grateful Shadows

Do come, thus to link light to dark
From trance arises this forgotten spark
Of what once was, in romantic dream
Of all that binds in woven seams

Pluck up thy quill and tend once more
To all blue shadows beyond yon door
Through the mirrors, beyond the mist
As sealed throughout with most ardent kiss

Write then of times that seamed our souls
When love was real and made one whole
Wherein trees would hold the all of us
In memory now we are but a trust

Hold in the grail all that will live
Hold in the shadows the gifts that give

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

Though I am basically a 'minimalistic constructionist' (and the style of this 'write' is so very different from my approach),....I am compelled to say that the following (to me) is a grand example of the pure distilled essence of 'romanticism' at its finest!:

"Pluck up thy quill and tend once more
To all blue shadows beyond yon door
Through the mirrors, beyond the mist
As sealed throughout with most ardent kiss

Write then of times that seamed our souls
When love was real and made one whole"

not that is is 'important'....but, I would simply change the word 'one' to 'us' in the last line shown above.

excellent 'write'!
