Guardian Of The Light By Paul Wilson Inside the room of eight guardian of light stands tall Within the prism of dawn he’s waiting for the Sun to call A wandering pathway below takes him on another dream Past rows of yesterdays across a gentle stream Rainbow of light covers him as dust flakes float in air This guardian of the light a prisoner of his own despair No one feels his pain alone in this room of eight No shadows are cast resigned to his fate Darkness of night ends his pain each day A prisoner of the prism he cannot run away Past memories of others he walks each night Returning to the room of eight living each day in prism’s light Octagon of windows his watch tower by light Cold reflective glass his prison by night ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

everytime I view a lighthouse, I've always marveled at their beauty, each one in it's own, yet, never did it occur to me, how lonely the light house keeper could be. Well done Paul, even though sad, descriptive and tugs at many emotions, awakening the reader beyond just the building. |

This poem was a easy read with terrific flow. It made me feel that I was in fact in the lighthouse awaiting the sun to rise. |
