       The Sea
         ___

Walking along the beach
I dreamed of time and space,
while the waves played their melody
and the sun warmed my face.

On the fresh morning air
came a warm salty breeze,
wafting over the sand
and curving through the trees.

I just stood there for awhile
looking far out to sea,
my heart filled with awe
at how lovely the sea can be.

I often walk along the beach and feel an affinity with the sea

Thank you all for the kind words. I have always loved the sea, as something about it just seems to renew the spirit. I am so glad you all enjoyed the poem.
