Marc Chagall - Amanti rosa

***

Eye talk

There you stand at the threshold,
the contours of your face
blurred by the backlight.
You look like an Angel
and I am drawn into the mystery
of your deep magnetic eyes.

Through this channel of light
the eloquence of feelings
rushes forth storm like,
inner tremors of rapture
play crazy heart rhythms
excluding any rational thought.

Come closer, touch me!
Your eyes have invited me.
No greater intimacy I have known
than this unmistakable eye talk
silent flashes of pure truth,
to which I unhesitatingly surrender.

Come closer, let me lean unto you!
No longer can I resist
the utter splendor of you.
I can’t bear distance anymore,
it’s time now to merge,
our eyes have shown the way.

Sweet love of mine
where have we met before?
I recognize your touch.
This memory has traveled across
time and space since forever
and we are meant to collide …

again and again,
forever and ever we shall know
this unique tune of Oneness.
Now open your arms and let me enter
the warmth of you, hold me tight,
close your eyes, lead me into ecstasy.

Beautiful write, Margherita!

Yes, Eyes,  the door to our soul...the light
that shines brightly and guides our way...
Such a mysterious part of us...  a very
beautifully written poem...

Exquisite!......
[another finest rendering of "Love's dejavu"!]....
particularly:

"Sweet love of mine
where have we met before?
I recognize your touch.
This memory has traveled across
time and space since forever
and we are meant to collide

again and again,
forever and ever we shall know
this unique tune of Oneness.
Now open your arms and let me enter
the warmth of you, hold me tight,
close your eyes, lead me into ecstasy"

simply wonderful!

Yes, I will repeat what has been said before (it deserves it).

Beautifully written and rendered; with soft, tender passion and yearning.

Truly outstanding write. Thank you.

Margherita,

Magnificient!  You have described something so perfectly that I have felt.  There are a few people who I've known whose eyes made me feel we were One, and for no real reason.  I really like the mystic and romance in your writing.  This is definitely one of my library favorites!  Thanks for posting it.
