“Why have you not been out” ‘twas asked,"to
  Enjoy Fall breeze and crisp dropped leaves?
How is it that inside you stay
   on such the perfect day?”

then he rolled the window down,
air crept to skin without a sound;
its hands from chin to cheeks

the silence as they drove
emphasized the naked road, and
outstretched arms rose side by side;
Creation embarked by Autumn ride

     “Do you see the bending woman,
      Can you fathom cradled child,
      Fingers that are calling,
      The wisp of human that is mild?”

“You’re mind is running wild!” he said,
“On such the perfect day,
you should get out more; take time
     with me to play!
This tree stuff is fictitious, and your
Personification is for the birds!”

She smiled the curl of northern cloud,
Continued dreaming along the way.

I love this very much, dear misce. Ahhhh, there is nothing like following the whispers of the spirit of freedom.
I could see your dreamy smile and felt the breeze ...
Just wonderful, some truly great lines!

Love,
Margherita

A question answered so well by the ending. *S* Beautiful work!!!
