Imagination Thieves

The yellow orb hangs
In a forever frame
Robbing the surreal
Of its daily evening meal

Beams of light reflect
The brilliant rays
That reach out to heal
And hear nature praise

Ghost and goblins
Lurk in the tree tops
Perched to spring
When the twilight is king

The shadowy figurines
From ominous dreams
Silently leap and tease
Childhood fears with ease

The crunching sound
Of stepped on leaves
Can be heard
In the vision that believes

The story is stolen
By imagination thieves
And is freshly sold
Each time the eye perceives

The canvas stain
Shall always remain
But the very next gaze
Starts a brand new phase

Omnia vincit amor

Siyo Pressie so truly beautiful,of fall days in childhood playing in the fallen leaves beneath a warm late sun!

Terry this is lovely and oh that photo...
that looks like a perfect place on a perfect day to take a long walk or ride
and then to just sit and wait on a lovely sunset!!

I enjoyed this, very much sir.

One might easily fall
into the photoed scene
as well as into the words...

well done, Poet.

Dixie and Kethry,

Thank you for the more than kind reply!

It's amazing what a person can see peering at a painting.

Pressie....I have walked into a painting before and made it more....each who steps within this way changes themselves and it this way.  Thanks for this!

what an incredible poem, would that I could view a scene as this and put it so beautifully on paper, its as if you captured it as each and every person sees it...wonderful
