Flaming Heart,Singing Cloud!

Flaming hearts Phoenix rising burns a path across our lives,in my
blood there is a passion nothing boring about love.
Cherokee soul full of fire tempers flare and sparks
fly, grandfather told me long ago a man wants a woman not a mouse.
My grandmother tiny thing ruled his life with an iron hand, six
foot six and not afraid his love for her was a living thing.
I will not settle for any less I will not change and be a
mouse, head hard as Creators stone, heart full of love waiting to be
born.
Tsalagi I am today Tsalagi I will always be,one day that love
will come and be proud of such a woman to call his own.
Until that day I live and learn I will not cry when I get
burned, just take the lesson from my Creator and get stronger.
I will not let my spirit be trampled it is this that kept my
people strong and growing, where would the Tsalagi be without the
hearts of their women who laugh in the face of trouble?
It is we who teach the children let the troubles pass you by,we
will bend and not be broken and live to fight another day!

granny!

Your words are wise, granny...telling of an old soul.  I wonder if soul has gender...I'm thinking not. Perhaps there are many lessons in life that must be learned as woman and also man.

Sigi(thank you) Kethry would be a good thing I think,it is a teaching story for young women to not allow themselves to be abuse by word or hand.

This 'write' is a grand testiment to 'lovely ladies' everywhere throughout all of "Deep-Time" who have fine, proud, resolute, firey, independent minds, hearts, and spirits...who speak their truths strongly and clearly....and, an appropriate indictment of men who are self-involved, controlling, manipulative, abusive, cruel and/or down-right evil in their treatment of women.  As one who has always stood against chauvanism and for absolute chivalry and for individual and collective human rights and dignity, I could not possibly applaud this 'write' more!
