These Winter Blues

He said "Why don't you turn the heat on?"
thinking that's why I've been so quiet,
I said, "I'm not cold, just broken-down,
but don't quote me, I'll deny it."

It gets so dark so early now
and I just don't want to socialize,
I come home and put my PJs on,
the weight begins to close my eyes.

There's nothing special to stay up for,
no TV shows I want to see,
no man that is debonair enough
to get to the heart of me.

I'll be so glad when Spring arrives
but for now, I'll enjoy my quiet,
these winter blues got me broken-down
but don't quote me, I'll deny it.

sometimes we don't need a lover to find the lover within....hard times, yet in perspective, the end results in great understanding...don't be to hard on yourself, ever, just know you did the best you could at the time intellectually, and go forward with other thoughts....

Hugs to you...I know this place lady...and it can be a great place...

love

It's that time of year again for all the lonely hearts to catch that horrible wintry-holiday-blue's bug.

Want to borrow a shoe box?

Another good one ps.

Dear Dixie, the blues they come and go, sadness invades what should be our time of happiness; finding the jewel of day that warms our soul is difficult, but it is there to be found and enjoyed. We poets do definatly think too much and expression in words is much different than in actions. The world is ours to enjoy, Winter or Summer let's throw our blues away, smile and say, what a wonderful life.

A nice write dear friend, hope your thoughts bring on more happiness and your days bring more of what you enjoy.

Sincerely
Rick
