Cornered
Back against the padding
No use in straining, you'll just waste your energy
Nervous, anxious
No longer naive or innocent
Bathing in the mess you've created
Breathing in the fumes from her fragrance
She speaks with a shotgun tongue
Aiming at nearly everyone
Fallen into her crosshairs
She bides her time patiently for you
Waiting, needing for you to align yourself
Penance shouts from the inside out
Deserving of the consequence
Give yourself, and then repent
It's all in those frayed pages
A declaration for the ages
You knew it would come to this
So why do you object your wish?
