Come The Spring

I could envelope my desires
to be signed and sealed,
set free my passion
into a sunflower field,

it's possible I might
stuff all of my dreams
into a pair of 501s
splitting at the seams.

But it's getting late now
and winter makes me slow,
hibernation is in order,
still, there's one thing you should know...

I gather notes and memories,
practicing the song I'll sing
anticipating
celebrating
rebirth, come the Spring.

Those 501s look best if one can't tell if you're on the inside tryin' to get out or the outside tryin' to get in

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

This is just what I needed right now. I love spring most of all, and by February, I'm willing to sell my soul just to get it back.

Your writing has eased the impatience of the winter wait, considerably. Thank you.

There is nothing like a Babe in a well worn pair of 501's!  *grin*

I like the new softness you share with us, Dixie. I can tell the change in your life was worth the hard decision.
