Our time is short,
but then, it always was.
Years, months, days, minutes,
just a drop of eternity.

To watch you,
when your not aware that I am.
The way the sunlight touches you
like the warmth of my hand.

To hear your voice,
like cool silk it surrounds me.
Warming as it caresses my skin,
until I no longer feel alone,
I become one with you.

Your eyes, searching,
like a soft summer breeze
they move over me.
Seeing me as no one else does,
filled with love for you.

You whisper,
your voice lost
in the sounds of life.
And yet,
I hear you, because I am you.
We are one, and I am frightened too.

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.
* I felt the need to come and repost this poem hoping it might help to ease my pain as I realize what a long time ago it was that I first wrote it and how blessed I was to have you in my life if just for a little while..

I lost my Husband this morning after a long fight with lung cancer. I will love and miss you always Marcus Quinn  7/11/66 to 11/14/06

Lucie~You were here long before I joined Passions,
but I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss.

When life brings changes and heartache,
it is important to remember
that everything you've loved
will forever be a part of who you are.
Love is the light within you that can never be put out.
May it be the healing force that brings you strength and comfort.
My thoughts and prayers are with you~Nancy

Warm summer sun, shine kindly here;
Warm southern wind, blow softly here;
Green sod above, lie light, lie light -
Good night, dear heart, good night, good night.

Lucie...I'm so very sorry.

There is no decent place to stand in a massacre...but if a woman takes your hand, then go and stand with her.

Our prayers and thoughts will be with you
through the trying times, and the crying
times, Lucie.  I didn't know the reason
for your absence, but sense that the time
you spent with your husband was filled
with love and joy.  Take great care of
your self, and know we will keep you close.

I wish I could welcome you back under happier circumstances.

God be with you and your family and we will be here to help lighten your load as you feel led to write and share your feelings with your talented pen.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

My words are inadequate in expressing the compassion that I have for you in the passing of your husband. His battle may be over but you have a new one beginning. Know that your PiP family is here for you.

Love & Eternal Light,
Linda

I was so glad to see your name... and then my heart broke as I read...

I'm so sorry, Lucie... I know those words are inadequate... but they're heartfelt.
