Do you ever wonder
when your not here
if I too, am in some somewhere, there
under the blanket of night
holding you closely in my dreams;
and have you ever caught yourself
pondering as the highway stretches itself
into some unknown horizon
if I am held in some still moment,

head tilted with face towards sky
eyes closed, catching some sweet glimpse
of yesterday rewinding through my mind
as sun flashes behind closed lids,

and did I suppress the smile
that formed on lips
or wear it then full,
sun kissed
in amber thoughts of you?

Did your arms also ache,
as mine did too
from the emptiness
of not holding you
last night
in moonlight hues
sighing whispers upon the winds
that they might carry the answers
back to you

so that you will know
that I am in some somewhere, there
with a heart beating the sounds

of  I miss you, too.

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

‘romanticism’ at its finest!!:
[for example]:

“yesterday(s).....rewinding through my mind
.....flashes behind closed lids” , etc…..

[like a grand, sparkling kaleidoscope of time and memory!]

OR:

“sun kissed in amber thoughts of you”

OR:

“sighing whispers upon the winds
that they might carry the answers
back to you”

This was one of those poems (for me at least)....that I wished could
‘go on'....and on, and on!......

LOVELY!!

"My soul is adrift in oceans of madness
Repairing the rift that you have created"~ Disturbed

"I shut my eyes and hold my cries to myself"~ Taproot

My apologies for not being here sooner to thank you each. You are all, too kind.
My thanks, and peace!
