we played tag with our eyes there at the base of the lighthouse where the sand was still warm from some yesterday's afternoon you poured coffee in paper cups and leaned from your blanket just long enough to give your lips to mine as the first flavor of morning we folded our hands and arms into locking puzzles together making warm and want be still like front row scolded youngsters our ocean danced and sang her songs she touched our toes with secrets and you giggled from your soul and wove me your heartbeats as armor as we named our children day dreams _____________ daark |
