Tides Of Forevermore
~*Marge Tindal*~

Tenderly he placed
Message into a bottle
Set adrift on sea
Sweeping outward it will go
On the tides of evermore~

Swept homeward to heart
Waiting on another shore
Opened, read, cherished
Answered on outgoing tide
Come, find me quickly, my love~

Gentle waves in flow
Bring this one home to adore
Rippling words adrift
on sea of forevermore
Lay resting now on the shore~

~*~

***Just let the word-flow
Grab you and take you along
Add your messages
To this Tanka of adore
Run along the word-seashore***

He sits, reflecting
while summer's first tender blush
stirs winter weary souls...
time for yesteryear's worn dreams
be released unto the sea

Oh no, my dear friends
Praise will never do at all
Add-On MEANS Add-On
Now get that ink to flowing
It's the least that you can do !

2 for 2!....this is the second time in two days that a ‘write’ from this
grand and lovely ‘poetic voice’ has been a “pier glass and a (magic) potion” for my melancholy soul....‘jiggers’ of healin’ tonic bottled, corked, set with sealing wax and sent driftin’ to all in need across the immortal depths of Time’s eternal sea!
Marge knows words are most ‘precious gems’ to me...I NEVER waste them in idle or superfluous praise!   Dearest ‘spirits that be’...I LOVE this poem!.....I ‘oft hesitate to comment on her work...
because its sterling merit is so ‘self-evident’...however, I REALLY couldn’t resist  praisin’ this one!....How does she do it?!!!

Changing before my
eyes, purple clouds hovering
above the ocean
rise high, higher, into a
range of towering mountains.

I would 'modify' one word in Marge's last line:

Lay resting now (upon) the shore~

when found I.....
the bottle gleaming there
in that moment's fleeting dream....
I wished "love's answer" lay for me
in those time-swept tides of evermore~

Dear Marge:

To the seashore let me go,
To where the tidal ebb and flow,
Brings in the flotsam from the sea
And someday I just know there'll be
A bottle with a message I
Will cherish till the day I die!
