She fell off the ladder, not a far fall,it didn't hurt much hardly at all. Had much worse, amongst the others.Felt a gush, blood in a rush, looks down, blood, gore and vivid colours. Some sort of ghoulish fascination, before the pain envelopes and smothers.

Blueish/grey bands of ligament worm out of their confines, purple muscle pulsating, pumping and shining sinew stretching in fine white lines. Glistening, exposed, lurid, she can see into her self. Blood thick and oozing, snaking down her once perfect limb.

Gaging Wrenching.

Her skin just a moment ago, light tan perfected, firm, hairless, pampered, protected. Now jagged uneven, torn tissue, edges curled, shrunk back, pieces missing.Wood splintered, glass and stone and objects unknown, shrapnel of the earth embedded. A horrible sight, distressing. Fascination and repulsion. Engulfed in pain she can smell the sweet putrid odour of her bloods coagulation.

Like a flood so much blood, in the dirt, on her hands, in her hair, covering her clothes in a stinking crimson sheet. No strength to move or call out no pain now, so weak. The blood flow is ebbing, slowed right down, just pink frothy bubbles, slithering like tiny snails across the ground.

No turmoil no huge explosion of light.
She dreams of her mother holding her tight, her chid missing her, her lover forgiving her, because she remembers last night in the middle of the fight, that he told her the ladder was broken.    So So sorry, words unspoken.
She closed her eyes and quietly surrendered to the darkness that was light and dissapperd into the day that has turned into night.
