so many sweet petals
have passed through that hand
waiting for sunlight
held to a crush
still
longing for those fingers

nor can I call them foolish
I too have been passed
from finger to finger
of the same gentle hand
giving up my scent
waiting for sunlight
yet finding bliss
in dark

Yes, a sweet song indeed.

"nor can I call them foolish" - nope, can't do that.

To an unabashedly ‘incurable romantic’  “dream-poet” like m....this ‘write’ is simply marvelous!..... for me...it was like readin’ Robert Burns...and that’s as good as it gets! I’m “gone huntin” for as many works as I can find by this deep and lovely ‘poetic Voice’!

Such hands are rare; they hold gifts
of passionate dreams
to be savored,
petal-by-petal.
Would that we could,
each of us would hold such a bouquet,
if only for a day.
~sigh~
understanding this
