You should see my mountain,
there's beauty everywhere
It's down in Alabama
A site beyond compare.

Leaves of many colors
God's beauty extraordinaire,
Nature's glory showing
For all of us to share.

Chameleon's can change color,
Lilacs turn to blue,
Fall brings out how nature
Can change to glorious hues.

There's little that can compare
To what our eyes can see,
It can't be purchased anywhere,
That God gives us for free.

Kodak cannot reproduce
The colors that he'll show ya
Nor a box of simple crayons,
Offered from Crayola

Colors hallucinogenic,
And no drugs you have to take,
Just look down my mountain top
God's splendor can't be faked.

Hey Toe!!  Good to read you here!
This is beautiful, and on this rainy day
I would love to look at the splendor
from your mountain top.

Hugs~Nancy

No spring, nor summer beauty
hath such grace...
As I have seen in one autumnal face.

It sounds wonderful.  Kind of unfair you get such splendor, and I get brown grass.

'Bout time you crawled out from under that toad stool and shared some of your miniscule talent with us really good poets
I loved it, you rascal!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Toe, sweet Poet [oops, sorry about that...]
where HAVE you been keeping yourself?

Too much summer?

Too much fun?

LOL...inquiring minds want to know!

'Bout time you came HOME.

Toe, you are equally adept at writing on the beauty of Nature, as you are at writing witty ditties.

You are not just another pretty face, you are a  man of substance and charm. This was a lovely expression of your inner beauty and illustrates your appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Sending you a warm, loving hug this cool November day,

Linda

Hey there Toe, how are ya doing?  Its nice to read you again...and in this poem you certainly paint an autumn array
Never been to your neck of the woods, but I've seen Shenendoah...so, I'm pretending while reading you, that your views are somewhat the same spectacular brush strokes of God.
Thank you for sharing.

Love the rhythmic rhyme and flow of this, Toerag. Not a bit of forced rhyme until the last stanza.

Pictured superbly for the mind's eye and it helped me learn that Alabama can have enough cold to have autumn colors. Have to admit, my erroneous thinking had me believing it too hot that far south.

Thanks for the lesson.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
