             Willow

[This poem is dedicated to a (white)
friend who truly, deeply believes she
is a ‘reincarnated’ "Native" (true)
American and to all those who believe,
as she does, that honesty is the grandest
human virtue and 'stewardship' of mother
Earth is a sacred trust!]

     She has been bent....
     (but never broken)
     by all four winds.....
     to live a ‘winged’ life!
in the light of the forest
     speaking her truth clearly....
     born of spirit-memories
     and a fine, proud heart
     which points the path
     so few may follow
     to the morning star
     and Nature’s truest call!....
     One poet stands
     both proud and humble...
     to have heard her ‘voice’!

She is all of that...
and a little more.

Well done, Bruce.
A lovely tribute.

To find a *word-gift* such as this just makes a Wednesday-in-November very special~

Thank you for being a poet and friend~

Honesty, is indeed the grandest value we can have in our hearts.  Lovely tribute to your friend.   Nicely penned!

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Yes, I too know her
to be all this and more!
Well said Sir...very well said!

No spring, nor summer beauty
hath such grace...
As I have seen in one autumnal face.
