Thanks to all those who have been reading my poems, and to all those who shared with me my 100th poem ("One Hundred Smiles").

Here we go,

Stranger

Hey stranger
guess you are new here too
seems you are bored
yet you seem interested in what i'm saying
want to listen my story?

hey stranger
maybe you can help me
you have walked many roads
i cant tell from your eyes

my story is so complex
so sad
so full of betray and pain
but so full of ideals and honor
come closer stranger and hear well

i had everything
i enjoyed everything
and shared with my friends
everything i had
time passed and happiness increased
i was living my best days
yet now i lost it all
because of defending what was mine
now i'm looking for the only thing
that can save me
love

hey stranger
i know you know what i'm talking about
i can tell
from your smile

it was a rainy day
and i was at home
moments later
i was defending my love
from the less expected person
my best friend
ond finally
i lost it all
both the love i defended
and the friend that betrayed me

hey stranger
i know you understand
i can tell from your look
i lost my yess stranger
i lost her
what can i do?

well, stranger
thanks for your time
i have to keep searching
i have to keep walking those roads
to find my yess

if you ever see her, stranger
tell her to stay there
tell her that i'm still looking for her
tell her that i've told you my story
tell her that i already forgave her
so that she will know
that her mistake is no longer a secret

see you again, stranger
thanks for hearing
thanks for smiling
haven't seen a smile
a true smile
in a long time
'cause i can't smile
see you later and take care
stranger

hey stranger
I FELT this one, deep inside
and am sorry for your pain,
but not sorry you left it
at our footsteps
in such a powerful write

Well done, the idea is folky so I like it much.

It takes a big heart to overcome such pain.
Forgiveness is divine, they say.
Well done Denis.

Herein my life was writ!....I imagine this touching work is supreme dejavu for many (most?) of us readin' it!....I was instantly teleported through the timegate back to Scotland and the moment I lost my
grandest love!...and in this timeless
'magic mirror' of a poem....
I saw reflected the ghost that I've been ever since! I believe a prime reason that I can still 'write' poetry...is because I can 'read' works such as this...which speak so eloquently with the voice of the
'everyman'!

Denis~

'i had everything
i enjoyed everything
and shared with my friends
everything i had'

This is such a wistfully rewarding penning~

Sad ... but well done~

I'm sure there are those who have gone through much the same situation, but didn't have the ability to pen it so effectively~

Nicely done~
