TA-TAS

Her hair in the mirror
was dense with the scramble of night
remember she told her face
children grow and picket fences
they get old

Lively lust what could that be
if you had your cup of tea
and beer in the evening
what matter destiny
slip into this shirt and see
I look pretty good to me

In a primitive back corner safe
her thoughts could not be bought
they were hers and to her belonged
like a belt she could put on
and change the way she felt to strong

It was a powerful tool
but there was more to this than that
for sometimes thoughts need some help
in order to be really felt

She’s wearing a black t-shirt tight
and printed on the front in white is
SAVE THE TA-TAS with a pink ribbon curl
between one ta and the other breast
she’s ready to count who reads her chest
----------

Martie, Sis....

the actuality of this is too true
we take so much for granted,
and when the granted doesn't take us...
then we have to fight
for what is left...

never be satisfied for what is...

and never, ever, be taken for granted!....

let along, diagnoses...

always get a second opinion....

it may be that I am just getting older friends
as I enjoy my every new day....

but I have learned, that unconditionally,
we must be aware of our surroundings,
even to the very core of us

Thank you for this wonderful, and
thoughtful, enlightening.
