The Kite

I fly my kite serenity
Waiting for the heights reward
Piercing clouds uncertainty
I hold its umbilical cord

My kite flies in and out of mist
The silver string belies begot
How can I stabilize exist
It will in time degrade and rot

The conundrum still bothers me
The phobia of letting go
The thought of be or not to be
This little that I think I know

I hold the string with hijack grasp
I cannot pull it back to earth
I feel I hold a poison asp
Perhaps the truth is in rebirth

I cannot pass the string to you
How say you, what should I do?

Morning Sy!
Very thought provoking post this morn.
I say hang on tight and enjoy the ride.
Have a wonderful weekend.

No spring, nor summer beauty
hath such grace...
As I have seen in one autumnal face.

Sy...It's really hard to fly a kite right and to find the perfect wind.

I say hang on too
Sir Sy
nothing sadder than a kite
without a pilot
trees often eat them

fly on...
good night

I say dear Seymour, hang on tight. Those trees do seem to get in the way.

The conundrum still bothers me
The phobia of letting go
The thought of be or not to be
This little that I think I know

Okay I have now given this a great deal of thought.

Sooooo...we've been told we each have a soul and it is immortal right?  What I am about to explain you may find also a bit perplexing.  See, I have a problem with the fact that we humans house that very soul (the immortal one,)and so maybe therefore we don't exist at all anyway right?  If you look at that way, then you can just go out and fly the darn kite and not have a single worry in the world right?  Why?  Because after all you don't even exist!  I say to you sir Sy, just have a good time, go out, and

Thank you for the read and quote.

That is a thought, thank you.

Sharon,
That is one of the many paths I have tried.
But it is a dangerous one if you don't understand it.

Miranda,
Letting go is always hard.

I like that 'umbilical cord'. As for the conundrum, I just scratch my head.  And since I need both hands for that-- oops! There goes the kite.
