Between the Lines

On the one hand stands the courage of,
on the other travel fears.
For paths have come and led the way
while others walled past years.

In hiking thoughts, my reservoir
of tunnels' ends in light.
Leaves longing of the speak of mind
to strengthen inner fight.

I walk existence on a plane
a half inch off the ground.
Higher aspirations lift me
in my world's rebound.

Though widowed by a life of ease
contentment once in hold,
these twist of words have wrapped me in
the less of more, controlled.

Due to these rows of in between,
a sanctuary true,
I'm rocked at night in lullaby
to field my future's view.

Maureen,
Time does not go backwards so you will get wherever you are going. Pick a good spot.
