Such was the temptation
Of the tempest
That lingered in wisps of breaths we gasped;
All at once
I’d let it go
Yet you’d take it away.
Was it yours to claim?
Or could another divine creature
Not yet grasp the fact that with you
Anything was possible
Even a melancholy sensation of hope
That made a home somewhere in my heart;
Which you had claimed
Just yesterday.
