Sun Worshippers

Graceful sunflowers
Trace the path of the sun's arc
Across the parched ground.

I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran

Hi, Sunshine.

You're right, of course.  I watched them do the same thing.

Thanks for agreeing!

John

Thanks, Interloper.

However, as it was completely about nature, I was of the opinion that this was a Haiku.  True, there is not an ironic twist at the end,  as is often the custom, but there are no people or human constructs in this 'ku.  Maybe you could enlighten me?

Thanks, John

Thanks, TL.

It was simple observation from childhood that inspired this.  Thanks for writing!

Hi, Steve.

I always try to have fun!  It's who I am.  Even when I write sad works, I still keep a bit of sunshine in my mind so that I don't follow the sentiment into the dark corners.

Thanks for the kind and thoughtful comments.
