Tammy
06 January 2006

Right was a word
when left to say
But what word was it
that truly spoke volumes
in ways of respect to pay

A word that held its own
and related more to one
Even if this word was
an appellation beautiful
in waves beyond her in sum

The word in title of song
a word that held its own
A word of pleasantness
in its true tune and tone

Her name of what
belonged inside
Her heart more
in depth than pride

"Does my lover feel what I feel
When he comes near?
My heart beats so joyfully
You'd think that he could hear
Wish I knew if he knew
What I'm dreaming of
Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love"

Born Mary Frances Reynolds in El Paso, Texas, singer
and actress, Debbie Reynolds (born April 1, 1932), went
on to star in numerous motion pictures and record hit songs
(most notably "Tammy" from her 1957 film Tammy and the Bachelor)
