Silence tore the mother from the son
as soldiers fell,
their flesh undone.
Whose eyes could see had heard the roar
and caught the stench of freedom in its blast.

The might of a colossus squeezed the stone
and rivers bloomed,
where deserts grew.
Red plumes that flowered easily on empty breasts
of mothers praying, lost, but softly to the west.

We see the hate cold beaming in their eyes,
where no hate lived
or did before.
The silence tears the mother from the son,
as soldiers fall, their flesh undone.

it's sad that hate has always existed, and can be played like a symphony
serenity blaze

I hope it doesn't annoy you for me to do this--that's why I do it so rarely, but I thought you might understand this, in reply, much better than anything else I could muster up (besides, I couldn't think of anything that would properly sum up the feeling you evoked here)

So just this once? *wince*

and yes, your poem was artfully rendered, and somehow to say "much enjoyed" or applaud seemed woefully inappropriate. Just know that I was moved, k?
