Beyond the Wall

I see the past in ghostly dye
It sweeps before my inner eye
It waves to me in phantom play
And says what would you have me say?

It offers me a grail of drink
The fluid of a moments think
A fantasy a realm of seem
Not quite real yet not quite dream

It plays upon the heart of me
And steeps me like exotic tea
Euphoria the nectars taste
Since ecstasy was its base

I float away into the sky
To touch upon those things of sigh
And happiness brings hidden joy
Like a child with new found toy

It is a place within us all
It’s just beyond the doubter’s wall

Dear Seymour, how exquisite!

I think we can all relate to these feelings, you rendered them masterfully.

Love and hugs.

Fall sure seems to bring out the child in us, Sy.  Spring grows green, but autumn presents itself and the past in golden and crimson edges to dance through those hugs of the heart.

I always love yours.
