i can't stop hiding

0 posted 2006-10-26 05:37 PM

Once upon a time
in a dream long ago
i ran thought darkness
not to let my face show

the cold night was piercing
soaking through to the bone
and reminded me of desperate feelings
from memories of being alone

still I persisted to run
hiding in shadows of the night
nothing driveling these instincts
to desperately stay out of sight

with every step taken
the ground clawed more at my feet
promising comfort of death
with thoughts of searing heat

then i woke up
back safe at home
nothing seemed out of place
but still i was alone

enjoyed your words, Matt and have felt this way before...

i ran thought darkness
not to let my face show

did you  mean to type "through" darkness?
although I like thought darkness but in a different context...
