Song of Dawn

Dark
the light still rings
splendid hallow almost silent
sound of air
every moving particle
aware

Dust hit by light’s sweet reason
comes for treasure run
as time trips within sleep
brambled a thorn exposed
awake awake awake
morning takes the window

Dark
your midnight song is gone
in explanation of the need
to pace the inner folded leaves
in corner of the sky to sleep
anticipating precious morn

~ A perfectly poetic ending befitting a perfectly poetic poem! Martie, you write with such grace. You're lovely!

"awake awake awake
morning takes the window"

your wonderfully painted dawn
shone in my window
woke me gently...

a poet's dream ~sigh~
to awaken with your muse's visions
and put them so gracefully to word

Every moment is a thing to be treasured, but for some....for some, the treasuring comes naturally.

Thank you for sharing one of them, in a way that is also to be treasured.
