When rest comes to you
in the calm of your night,
while you slumber it is I
that presses               cheek to glass

cooling the sting of fear, settling in
to reside inside seeming like a
stranger to me; this feeling of
uncertainty

so much that
although soft drops
of rain fall
against my window

pain is not soothed,
no usual feeling is
brought of peace

my tears fall
        and I am lost
in wondering
if your heart can hear the sounds
of my     soul remembering     our dance.

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Donna, you truly do have a "Gentle Spirit"...

Your words whisper wistfulness, yet ever so beautifully.

Beautifully, sadly wonderful.

(angel comfort hugs) Oh Donna, this is indeed sad, and I can understand the anxiety of leaning your cheek against a dirty window pane when it's raining and though you can see the dewdrops ever so well, you're not quite sure you can feel or identify with whose tears they are, and it can make a confused, grieving heart all the more confused! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a beautifully emotive write, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Supremely beautiful. Especially loved the last bit.
