subtle breezes
tickled the sun from his sleep
this morning
told him
keep it cool
don’t you know autumn’s on its way
spring mountain horses
chuffed
shook their heads
raised their heels politely
bemused

gusty promises
enticed us
paiute shaman nodded
watched you
show me shadows
and skies
on the naked side
of tumbleweed

white shirt sleeves
rolled up
as if for business
you pulled the sun down
into his bed
told him
shhh…
don’t disturb

waiting for autumn

Several fine lines struck me, but I have to admit, I couldn't pick just one favorite.

Awesome flows to this delight.

As usual, I love it!

"Spring Mountain" ~ with a title like that, I was certain to be drawn in! ~ and of course, by the author of that title!

There is something extremely special about your writing. It's magical!

Loving hug of appreciation,
Linda
