Just another ancient pout, found... A leaf from a tree...long ago uprooted. I'm lonesome... and I don't mean I'm just alone. I'm so lonesome. I'm blue clean to the bone. It's like a ... My hearts been walked on, no whiskey, no pills, my dog growls at me, laid off at the mill, Mama just died, empty inside, low down kind of lonesome. I'm so sad... Yeah, I'm lonesome and I'm sad. I don't know what to do so I won't feel so bad. It's like a... My baby just left me, dog just died, eviction notice, can't have nothing fried, everythings wrong, Hank Williams song, one car funeral kind of sad. Lord, I'm blue. I'm lonesome, sad and blue. I wish I knew what in the world I'm gonna do. It's like a... Bullet to the brain, ball and chain, broken winged bluebird out in the rain, guitar's pawned, cuss the dawn, so morose almost comatose, gold gilded overdose lonesome, sad, blue. |
