She said,
"there's no point
in carrying these puppies around
if I can't torment the boys with them."

To view a contact point for the source of life
as a weapon
is strange to me
though in reality
my youth indeed taught me
anything of value
can be turned to use as a weapon,
it simply is the attitude of its use
that is commanding.

Is life about love or about winning?
is love really war
or just its preamble;
like peace on earth
love in body
does not last throughout eternity,
Hollywood not withstanding,
but the fantasy of lasting love is nice
and we can dream.
We can dream.

I think we have to dream for the sake of our sanity! The young must live now in a different world and their values have changed accordingly - it's a matter of survival, you see, and perhaps life and love is just now ... matter of fact.
