To find satisfaction in one’s life- Why does one look outwards all the time? The life that we choose to lead, Is filled with demons clawing at our feet, And the dreams that we have broken, The wishes and promises we did not keep, How can we look in the mirror and smile without a lie? Nay, I ask you to listen on and hold all thoughts for the time being, Let me proceed to dissect what you call free life that you lead, No amount of light can come through your door, if all you seek is darkness, Many a times you have wanted things to go a certain way, But alas you stand there looking for something to happen to your liking, Tell me, have you known a rose who wanted to be but a rose, A baby who wanted to be old, silver that wished to be gold, If this life that you lead is full of stress, and you dream of morrow, You let today die in vain, in hopes of a better tomorrow, Then when you come of age where most men think of their past, You will sit there with an empty heart, for you kept hoping for the future, So, I beg you now, no I pray for you, to live your life to the fullest, now! Don’t let time pass you by, sip each second as if it was favorite drink, Gulp it down as it was ambrosia, but don’t forget to share yourself with the world. I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality. |
