Still in my PJs
with a book in my lap,
and if the mood hits me
I just might take a nap.

It's a lazy Sunday,
the weekend has been spent,
I am satisfied with progress;
with life, I am content.

No worries about Monday,
no regrets about last week,
just chocolate truffle coffee
and the comfort which I seek.

Though I still miss things,
it doesn't make me sad,
I'm just thankful for days like these
that, in the past, I never had.

Dixie....

seems like a child of mine
took hold my finger
and made a rhyme
your age is just between
my oldest and my youngest
and makes me think about time

but
they squirm at poetry
so don't know that side of me
expressions seem so clouded
without poetry how can they see?

awww, thanks guys! You really make a person feel great!

Titia, you made me giggle at your reply, though I know it's not funny and you know I wish you a speedy recovery. Hang in there!
