I, the dancer, pirouette
on this stage of daily days
but in the dark of nightly nights
I’m a woman awe inspired
at the beauty of a dream.

Drawn in like a participant
I emulate the moves
but alone enact emotion
in this reality of feel
that delivers such a punch
to my stability.

And every day the turn, turn, turn,
highlights a different view
to forestall the final closure
of the happiest of dreams.

But too long a dancer, dreamer,
and my testimony fails
to impact upon the distanced
a sense of mystery
meant to join all daily days
with every nightly night.

Dancers dance and dreamers dream
and everyone but me, it seems,
knows why they’re not yet joined
in holy matrimony!

Helen~
Your 'turn, turn, turn' demands a curtain call~

This is beautiful, poignantly beautiful~

Thanks everyone for reading and for commenting.

Marge - I'm a-turning, turning, turning, until the final curtain call.
Seymour - Well, the name came by accident but all the rest is hard work until it just comes naturally.
Linda - It's the marriage of dreams to real that is the final goal of life but, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter if we don't achieve it in the here and now.

Hi Jo - We're all so much "not alone" that it's quite scary!  Hope all is well with you.

Helen

If dreams were real and real was dream, then what pray tell would night time bring?

I read your words and smile.  I start to write a comment and the smile makes me forget my words.

Thank you.

As long as we dance, as long as we dream ... we are safe!

A truly wonderful job here, dear Helen!

Love,
Margherita
