A Poet At Heart

At times I am

A mystic in curls
A rebel in black
Elegant in pearls

At times I may

Shock with what I think
Stun with sharp nails
Flaunt tattoos bright ink

At times I remain

Just a small ones mother
Tender of kittens
An old flames lost lover

Forever I stay

As I have been from the start
A painter of words
Just a poet at heart.

....and such a beautiful heart you have, Dear Poet.

You wear your coats of many colours, very well!

"A painter of words
Just a poet at heart."

An artist is born, not made...the tools are already in place withint the heart, like yours.

Sandra, I think your soul is pure poetry. Beautiful work as always.   Cheers   - Ed

Once you are truly insane, it’s all picnics with Kafka after that. See, it’s the process of going crazy that you gotta worry about.

Linda (Insprations inspiration)

Martie (keeper of magical words)

Ed (the not-so-grim-one)

Dark (who is not dark, rather just in his own light)

Kate (Lady fair of Ladies)

Dixie (traveler of spirit and soul)

You all have special meaning to me, you all have made me stand in awe at the wonders you create, and share. You all have touched me, made me smile, brought a tear to my eyes, and even taken me for a dance 'neath the towering lights of abandoned parking lots. But mostly, you have shown me what it is to be a "poet".

My thanks to all of YOU.

Sandra
