When I look up at the ageless stars
So near, and so far
Looking all lost and all alone
In the void that they call home
Oh so fortunate they are

In the loving bosom of eternity
Cradled in a constancy
Carried aloft above the weight
Of the world unlike mortals too late
Such as I to be eaten by gravity

I wish not that fate so desperate
Upon any earthbound spirit
My sphere which I used to call my own
A very real home sweet home
I bleed with longing for it

Very beautiful whispers, of timeless and ageless tears.
You write lovingly of everything worth everything.

I like the idea of the stars in loving eternity, and the constancy reference.  Nicely done.

This is....

the stars, the longing, the ache of this.

*touching the screen*

I know this took a lot of out of you lovie.

and I have found a bitter irony, that St. Bernard,a place named for the patron saint of charity, would go so often unmentioned....

Oh, this poem strikes a strident chord in my 'harp', so to speak!

One of my signatures is "We are borne of the stars, and to the stars we shall one day return."

To Our Home Sweet Home Among the Stars!

Love and Star Light,

If anyone is reading, thank you for your eyes, and those who replied.
Serenity, you know... more than anyone. Thank you.

Yes, Poet.  We read and feel...and serenity, as well as you, know the truest form of a sweet home.
