I Can't

As much as you wish it were not so.
My love of you just will not go,
Away so that you could move on with your life.
I refuse, I can't stop, I would live with this strife,
That pulls and twists and beats me down.
Your refuse of pure bliss coninues my frown,
That softens my hard eye whispering hints of a broken man.
You turned on your fear and you ran,
Far away from me and my perfect, oh not.
For perfect blind was I, my imperfections a lot,
To be picked and clawed, then left to fest.
Images of you, a slight smile at rest,
While I leaned in and so softly kissed.
It's that smile so sweet and content that I've missed.

Welcome to Passions.

The dilema you write is very real.

Welcome, Strathaniel...many can relate to this human condition...I liked the use of rhyme in this emotive poem.
