From vale to veil
with seasons changing
smiles to sobs
we blunder on.

Unsure what lemmings’ urge
we share when differences
fail to break
the stranglehold
that serves no good,
except to prove what fools become,
We blunder on

Past passions
passed within a year
by drudgery;
sad ghost of fun,
that twists our lust
to acts or habits,
honed into their dullest form.
Where sighs are sentenced
all for one
and one for all
we blunder on

Two mummers;
dullards leaking hope,
surrounded by perfumed decay.
The sightless
with the blind in tow
Cling arm in arm
but lose their way.
Past love
passed reasoned sanity.
Where one could turn
or both should run.
We blunder on

Hi

Blunder on
Until the day is done
As long as you dance under the sun
Blunder on

There is a strong sense of futility, inevitability within the lines of this poem. Remember, "we are the captains of our faith."
