This and That

I’ve played the game of this and that
A game of meat that has no fat
A game of mind that’s one on one
A game that never will be done

It is the chaos of the mind
To stay a balance of a kind
To make a one of this and that
And even though it has no fat

You cannot render this and that
For each is but a prime begat
For this and that is really one
Its time that laughs when you are done

Its here my mind has come to stop
Begin again and raise a crop
To once more read the senses Braille
To cook the soup of chaos bale

I once more stand the throne I sat
And search again for this and that

Hi, Seymour.

Hey!  I recognize that (or is it "this and that?").  You signed a comment on one of my poems with a fragment of this poem.  Yep, I have a mind like a steel trap!

I like it.  It's kind of sassy, with a soupçon of wit mixed in with the rendered fat!

John

Pinky: Gee, Brain, what are we going to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky: try to take over the world!
